Prior to runtime:

Use a tool like YAJLGEN to generate RPG data structures from JSON
documents. Do the structures look right?

During runtime:

Assuming the schema is delineated in RPG data structures and perhaps other
variables, you might monitor the movement of data values from the parser to
the RPG variables. Monitoring could cover data type exceptions. After that,
validate the RPG values against whatever data validation that might be
appropriate.

If your JSON is hard to read, a tool like the following can format it, and
generate reports that break it down for you.

Hi,

Of those of you who are using RPG to process json, what are you doing to
validate the json being read against a schema?

Thanks
