IBM says that client config is required for basic authentication
(presumably related to how IBMi implements *KerberosOrBasic*). IBM
provided this doc (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/639441) and said
I have to complete step 5 in Chrome. I balked because that doc is
specifically for Kerberos not Basic, but IBM insists. Unfortunately, that
doc only covers Windows and this is a Linux PC.

Anyone have experience configuring Chrome for connecting to IBMi Apache
with Basic authentication?

Thanks

I guess it's possible. I wouldn't think special configuration would be
required for the browsers to prompt for login. I'll see what I can find.
