Hi Vern,

I have had some web exposure, a short exploration of CGIDEV2 back in 2007,
and the little I learned has rusted away :-)

Thanks for that link, it'll definitely come in useful soon.
I was under the impression that the QIBM_CGI_LIBRARY_LIST only indicated
where to find the CGI program, but once called it would not be able to
access any of the objects in those libraries. For that reason, I was
calling a CL program to set my library list.

Hi Dave

Welcome to the wonderful world of WWW - this DOES set the library list
for what is called - I Googled for the environment variable and went to
this 1st hit -

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/cgi-frequently-asked-questions-0

There you can find the question, "How can I change the library list for
my CGI program?", which tells us that "The listed libraries replace the
libraries in the user part of the library list. When the CGI program has
finished processing, these libraries will be removed from the library
list and the library list will be restored to what it was before the CGI
program ran."

Pretty cool - you get to change to exactly what is needed in the HTTP
server job, just for anything called through this setup.

Hello,

I have a rather feeble level in this subject so please go easy on me.
A server instance has already been set up for me (see below), which
obviously will need modifying.

What is the meaning of setenv QIBM_CGI_LIBRARY_LIST "QTEMP;CGILIB;YAJL"
?
Surely this has nothing to do with the library list used by the program
that will run on the i?

How do I know what method (GET or POST) has been used?

Thanks!

<Directory /qsys.lib/cgilib.lib>
AddDefaultCharset UTF-8
Order Allow,Deny
Allow From all
setenv QIBM_CGI_LIBRARY_LIST "QTEMP;CGILIB;YAJL"
</Directory>

# Alias for tests
ScriptAliasMatch /myURL(.*) /qsys.lib/ CGILIB.lib/$1.pgm

# Exemple alias for a specified program :
# ScriptAlias /myURL/test /qsys.lib/ CGILIB.lib/TEST_3.pgm
