Hi Robert,

First, ensure you have the latest HTTP group. This is to ensure you start
out with latest and greatest since the article came out.

Second, when you create an IWS server, by default the server user profie
is QWSERVICE. However, you have the opportunity to change it, whether in
the process of creating the server or afterwards via server properties.

Third, not sure why things would not start, I would need the steps you
used. But starting the server from the command line may provide more
information. strtcpsvr *http httpsvr(myserver)

Finally, what profile for the server is up to you. I would recommend
using your own profile. Also, the web services you deploy can be run
under different user profiles.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [WEB400] Creating my first IWS REST webservice
Sent by: "WEB400" <web400-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I've worked through Nadir's tutorial (
https://developer.ibm.com/tutorials/i-rest-web-services-server1/) and
imported the generated swagger file into Postman to create a collection.
I
was then able to test all the endpoints for students. Great...but then
I
was thinking that I had created the servers from the wizard using my own
profile which has a lot of authority (too much).

So I deleted everything and started again this time using the default
profile of QWSERVICE. Everything worked great until I tried testing on
Postman where I received an error as the password was *none.

Not wanting to change an IBM profile I copied the profile to WSERVICE1
with
a password. I deleted everything and tried the wizard again. This time
nothing would start.

So I have two questions.

The first being I'm sure if the problem is with the new profile or I
entered something wrong while using the wizard. But I can't find any
log
that gives me a hint as to the problem.
Where I should look to shed a light on the issue?

The second has to do with the user profile. Is it recommended to use
QWSERVICE or create a copy as I have done?
