I’m not near a system at the moment but the upgrade can be run from inside
the admin console for the WAS server. Really simple and easy.

It takes forever and three Sundays so patience is doubled in its virtue.

You can put PTF's on all day long and that won't do it. The PTF's just
put the new upgrades on the system. You then have to run some process to
upgrade your WAS servers to that new version. Kind of like
multiversioning. I'm just trying to figure that process.

If I'm not wrong WAS 9.0 use Installation Manager, WAS 8.5 is still via
PTF.

Trying to figure out how to upgrade WAS to a higher version. Most
websites send you all over. I've been to many (as you can see by the
information provided below). Now I am just trying to find out how to
actually DO the upgrade. I think I would like to use the command line
as response time on HTTPAdmin is crazy slow. That, and I tried
stepping through it and it couldn't size windows, etc to be useful.
