Alert() does not beep in Chrome or Firefox. It does in Internet Explorer (IE), but our Windows/.NET team can't write apps that support IE (which means I can't rely on IE).

Thanks

Have you looked at using Javascript and the alert() command.

https://www.w3schools.com/jsref/met_win_alert.asp

Or any number of jQuery or Bootstrap methods to alert the user of errors/notifications.

https://craftpip.github.io/jquery-confirm/
https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.0/components/alerts/

Good luck,
Matt

I've been given a requirement to have a web page that beeps and shows a message on an error, like 5250 can do. I haven't found a cross-browser way to accomplish this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

TIA
