To have the RPG compiler generate PCML 6.0 output, PTF 5770WDS-SI66801
should be installed. Also, one must set environment variable
QIBM_RPG_PCML_VERSION to the value '6.0'. For example:

ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(QIBM_RPG_PCML_VERSION)
VALUE(6.0) LEVEL(*SYS)

To specify varchar, here is an example:

<pcml version="7.0">
<program name="varchar">
<data name="bufferinDefault" type="varchar" length="100000"
usage="input" />
<data name="bufferoutDefault" type="varchar" length="100000"
usage="output" />
</program>
</pcml>

Assuming you do not embed PCML is program or service program, when you
deploy the program or service program, the web admin GUI will ask you for
a path to a PCML file.

I've done that and it looks like it created as V4.

2 questions...

How do I specify varchar data type? I looked at syntax and it only
allows char.
Does IWS find the PCML on IFS or will it allow me to specify where it
is?
