Works like a champ! The service run on my IBMi, so I also tried a reverse proxy via Apache. That worked, but I wasn't happy with the idea of having to create an Apache directive for every service. I was pleasantly surprised that using HTTPAPI in my CGI app was faster (per Chrome Developer Tools) than the reverse proxy.
