My webservices are done with RPG & CGI on Apache. Each of my production Apache servers has a corresponding test server. The test server runs CGI programs in a test library and the *LIBL points to test schemas. All of our RPG is compiled into test libraries, so they go directly to the test servers. The services are tested manually with a browser or a client app (we do semi-automated testing for *SRVPGM but not *PGM). When ready, we run a deploy command which commits to SVN and promotes the object to the test library.
