Depends on what you want to accomplish. Apache is a great web server for static resources and for reverse proxying (that is what I use it for primarily - a reverse proxy). If you are looking to build a web application, then express.js is a nice lightweight framework, although there are others.

Are you building an app or do you have an app and want to serve it up through a web server like Apache (or NGINX) ?
