Yeah, I hear you when you say QSYS.LIB objects are not so useful from PASE. Things like user spaces are completely usable, although just some simple stream file can serve the same purpose - unless the user space was involved in some API call evoked in some fashion.

But the QSYS.LIB that is inside the IASP directory is not the same as the one off the root of IFS.

Tony made some comments about IASPs in one article I read - perhaps he has more to say elsewhere, as this is intriguing, to me, at least. Especially after my experience helping customers install software from my previous position into IASPs.

But probably enough on this for now, unless Tony or someone can play with chroot over an IASP directory in the IFS.

My assumption would be yes, the /QSYS.LIB IFS directory would be accessible
at that point because you are chrooting into an area that is meant to
contain /QSYS.LIB. I've only done chroot in /home/aaron and /QOpenSys.
Note at this point you'd have IFS access to /QSYS.LIB, which isn't super
useful and instead, if you are in PASE, you'd more likely want to work with
ILE objects and DB2 database tables through SQL CLI APIs.

Do you have an IASP to try this on, Aaron? Or anyone?
I don't.

iASPs would be more interesting/useful if they had more Docker.io-like
features.

BTW, IASPs are not just for HA - they can be used as I'm describing to
