Mine is using a MySQL database at the moment. I haven't embarked on the DB2 fork of Waterline yet (we talked about that previously) until I have examined the IBM node toolkit more closely.

What really floated my boat with this app was the fact that I could load and run it on my Unix (Centos) server and the IBMi without making any changes at all. That, combined with the fact that my server and client code are all written in the same language makes it a really cool option I think. It's kinda sad that I find things like that exciting though :) I don't even have to fiddle around with a separate HTTP server or application server. It is the most painless cross-platform option I have tried so far, including Java and PHP.....and websockets come along with the party also.

What did you use for your ORM layer with that Sails app? Sails "ships"
with Waterline, but Waterline doesn't yet support DB2 for i.

being a node newb more than anything else.
