Re: Rsync daemon in PASE

Thanks, Jack. The config files that I am using are rsyncd.conf and
rsyncd.scrt in /etc. I played around with adding hosts and services files
in /etc to no avail. The article was helpful for installing, thanks, but
doesn't cover running in daemon mode. This 2003 article from MC Press
Online does:

Except for the RPM install, I believe I am doing what the author does in
the article. He doesn't mention anything in terms of config files beyond
the rsyncd.* files in/etc. As for software, we recently upgraded our
hardware and are at the latest cume.

Blake, found this link, name lookup failed sounds like a DNS or host name
problem possibly. I had not heard of rsync, I am going to read up more
about it.

Also, are you current on groups and cume ptfs.
