It seems a bit ironic that the PDF goes right through a load of instructions and ends up with an untrusted server application - which is exactly the problem that Jon is trying to fix.
Jon, can you clarify exactly what you are trying to achieve. Are you setting up a server application in DCM that you want to be automatically trusted by any client application ( like a browser) OR have you been issued with a client certificate from a third party and you want the ibmi application to trust the third party when establishing an SSL conversation with it?

Subject: [WEB400] Setting up SSL for payment service
Can someone please point me to an idiots guide ('cos this SSL stuff makes me feel like an idiot) to configuring for secure communications.
Right now my need is to set up the IBM i so I can use the First Data Global Gateway.
I have obtained a certificate for the box from Comodo and that has been installed by the good Dr. F. - although my Mac insists that it is untrusted - I'm not sure why.
I have obtained a test account from First Data but ...
They have sent me a bunch of files of type .key and .pem - I can find how to instal the .pem file in Windows - even on the Mac - but what the heck do I do with them for the IBM i? Needless to say First Data are convinced that everyone uses Windows! The instructions don't recognize the existence of any other platform.
I have a php script running to the server and log shows that the communication goes through OK, but it throws an authentication error.
I have googled my little brains out, tried to understand the IBM docs - but sadly it is as if the First Data and the IBM docs were written in two different languages. They can't apparently use the same word to describe the same things.
