As far as I know you cannot set these values in a CGI program in order to influence what Apache does. I am 99.9% certain of that. You set them permanently in the config file for your Apache server instance. Obviously you can retrieve the current values in a CGI program in the same way that you can retrieve any environment variable.

Subject: [WEB400] how to set/retrieve CGIConvMode environment variable?

where do I find the environment variables CGIConvMode, cgi_ascii_ccsid, cgi_ebdic_ccsid?

Is there an api used to set them on a web session basis? That is by a CGI program where setting a value only affects the actions of that cgi program?

I have looked in /qibm/ProdData/HTTPA/conf/httpd.conf

also used WRKENVVAR command.

thanks,
