True, the session scope is whole browser, because the session id is stored,
and sended by a cookie.

You must open another browser like Chrome or Firefox. Also with Firefux you
can manage profiles, each profile has a unique session id.

I'm currently reading about sessionStorage for the implementation of a per
tab/window server side session. Yes sessionStorage is client/side, I want to
store only the server session id :)

In the article HTML 5: Client-side
Storage<http://www.webreference.com/authoring/languages/html/HTML5-Client-Side/>we
can read:

*Scope:* localStorage data is accessible across all browser windows while
sessionStorage data is confined to the browser window that it was created
in.

2011/10/7 <GKern@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I was recently informed that, in a CGIDEV environment, that if I have two
browser instances active (both IE), and running the same "multi panel
program", on the same pc, that the session variables between the two
browsers could get corrupted (ie one session's variables could appear in
the other browser session). I was told this was due to newer browser
versions assigning the same session id to each open browser instance.

Anyone encounter this? Is it true?

Thanks, Jerry
