× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

But no one mentioned frameworks.

What kind of framework do you have in mind? JavaScript? UI Widgets? Server-side? If server-side, then what platform and language? It could be argued that a CMS is a framework, a portal is a framework, an IDE is a framework. One reason that people go with a CMS is for the HTML templates and CSS themes. I agree that you'll need something in order to be productive, but what are you interested in? And you could also build your own from scratch.
