Since the iSeries is running Apache you could use these stats that show Apache being used almost twice as many places as IIS. I would point you do our sites but they are not public and all require password access. We use iSeries for our student web site, employees web site and a police system. We do use IIS for our public (mostly static pages) site.

This is one public site hosted on our iSeries

For the most part all sites hosted on the i are dynamic and IIS is used for static. We will also have our i create a set of static pages from the database and then push those pages to the IIS server once a day. That site is

Not sure of any sites, but you should know that if you are using the iSeries to host the data that feeds your IIS server that it takes a HUGE amount of overhead (in the area of 40% of cpu utilization in some instances!) when serving this data. If you are so inclined, and you do this, check out how many QZDASOINIT jobs you have and how much cpu overhead it takes up.
We are in the middle of moving all of our web sites back to our 400. We hired a programmer who is ASPX/PHP savvy and he will be converting all of our ASP/ASPX code to PHP.

Subject: [WEB400] iSeries vs IIS web site
Because our web site is so bad and we do not have anyone to develop it I am trying to convenience management to allow me to pursue setting up our iSeries and developing our web site on our iSeries. The individual in charge of our network is 'talking down' the iSeries as a web server. Is there a web site, white paper or any document comparing the advantages and disadvantages of using an iSeries vs some other web server. I am just starting my research and need as much information as possible to make my side of the argument.
Thanks,Rich Dotson
