Not much experience, recently I did a report in XML using CGIDEV2 for
another computer to read, and later I added a XSL to use the same data
in a human readable screen (not as ugly as a XML without format)
Results are great, and not to much work.

Hi,

I've just read an article that shows how to clean up php code using xsl. The script would simply generate xml instead of html which would be left to the xsl processor. As someone who is only a debutant in php but not bad in xsl, this looks like a great idea. I don't see why it would not be a great idea even for an expert in php. The article is already 10 years old, so I wondered if there are any disadvantages to this way of doing things as I have not read of such a technique before. Also, couldn't the same technique be applied to developping with CGIDEV? I have only a little experience with this, but wouldn't it be so much simpler if the rpg program only had to generate XML?
