I have a friend in the National Park Service who uses Wordpress as a CMS,
see http://www.ncptt.nps.gov/. With enough plugins, Wordpress can do
anything!

Thanks, Bryce. I was under the impression that Wordpress was targeted more
for blogging vs. corporate websites, but I will check it out. The number
of open source CMS solutions available is enough to make one's head spin.
I've found www.cmsmatrix.org helpful for making comparisons. Still, I
think going with one of the more popular solutions (e.g., Joomla!,
Wordpress or Drupal) is the best way to go. TYPO3, for example, appears to
offer just about every feature in the base product or as an add-on, but
I'd be concerned about availability of documentation and information
online.
