Seems like the "PDF of today" lost some features. How do I save that to my
own machine for offline viewing? Or how do I give that to a user who has
network natzi's that don't allow them to go to any URL's? Or, how do I view
that on an iPad?

PDF isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Just like Word documents aren't
going anywhere even though I use GoogleDocs a lot - they both have their
place.
