I've been searching for answers to this problems without much
luck. I have found this message which appears somewhat related
to my problem: http://archive.midrange.com/web400/200710/msg00001.html

Whenever I try to start the *ADMIN instance of the http server
I get the following in the job log, after which the instance
fails:

From module . . . : QLWIMSG
From procedure . : sendStartStopMessage__10LwiMessageFPcsN31
Statement . . . . : 44
To module . . . . : MOD_IBMLWI
To procedure . . : startLwiServer__FP10apr_pool_tP10lwi_conf_t
Statement . . . . : 99
Message . . . . : INTEGRATED WEB APPLICATION SERVER Admin FAILED
TO START. REQUIRED PROPERTY startup.lwiAssignUserID NOT FOUND IN conf/i5OSStartup.properties FILE.

I have checked and startup.lwiAssignUserID does in fact appear in conf/i5OSStartup.properties, so I'm not sure what to do next. Does anyone know how to fix this problem so I can get the *ADMIN instance running?

What is the absolute path where the noted file was located? The
Admin instance is the one that is failing, so perhaps, is the
absolute path supposed to be one of:
/QIBM/UserData/HTTPA/conf
/QIBM/UserData/HTTPA/admin/conf
/qibm/proddata/os/OSGi/LWI??

I do not think the Admin server uses either of the following
absolute paths, which IIRC reflect naming for any user-created
instances of an LWI\IAS server:
/www/<IAS_name>/lwi/conf
/www/<IAS_name>/conf
