Is it happy hour yet?

I hope so because this debate is sounding increasingly like a replay of several from the past.

Interesting. The conversation was perfectly acceptable when you were touting the positives of PHP. Yet as it turns to the topic - the _dis_advantages of PHP - you find it a replay.

I find the term "replay" particularly interesting because I don't ever remember a discussion of the downfalls of dynamic types in this forum. I grant you it's a regular discussion among programming professionals in general, but not one much discussed here because it's never really been an issue on the i, what with RPG and COBOL being statically typed languages.

Perhaps you were referring to some other part of the thread. But I thought it was helpful to elucidate the potential pitfalls of dynamically typed languages.
