The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
So we take it that you're abandoning CL and SQL Aaron <grin>
OK - I'll play devil's advocate here.
We all use multiple languages on the IBM i all day every day. You have
to learn both Javascript and HTML in order to be able to produce web
applications. To use RPG for the web you also have to learn one set of
APIs or another. Given that whatever choice you make, you will not
find an awful lot of help out on the web, are you not as well or
better off choosing PHP where at least there's a wide range of help
and tutorials and ... available?
Open Access and the resulting RPG options may change the game - but
right now I'll use my RPG code on the back end and use PHP to drive
the UI.

Here is where I believe we disagree. I think that a two language
scenario
introduces enough bad things that it would almost be better to go
with all
one language or the other.
