That is true - I assumed this was for commands. If not, hmmm - maybe he could say the help for a command is his panel group - heh! - and fake the system out.

Although I doubt it!

Vern,

GENCMDDOC only handles commands right?

So if you had UIM help text for a screen it's not going to help.?

Use GENCMDDOC - it is available since V5R3 for sure. You have a choice
of generating UIM source or HTML - the latter uses any existing *PNLGRP
help, so that will do the trick for you.

Just do an F9 to see all the parameters.

It's great!

Hello,

I am in the process of creating a web site using Microsoft Expression
Web and would like to include some UIM Help text that I already have on
the iSeries, without a manual re-typing if possible.

Is there a way to convert UIM Help text to HTML? Are there any APIs or
tools available? I found the Retrieve Help Text (QUHRHLPT) API that I
believe will convert the UIM help text to XML, but I would like to see
what options are out there before I create programs just to try it out.

Thanks

Dave
