I could see the discussion forking and going either way. Microsoft embedded a browser in their operating system, while Google appears to be embedding rudimentary OS functionality in their browser. Should this be an OS discussion? Or a browser discussion? Or a discussion about browser applications?

Google demos are using a netbook that has NO hard drive. All files are stored & downloaded from servers. All applications appear to be either server based, or browser plug-ins. That's quite different than Microsoft's approach to an OS, which appears to always require more and more PC resources, and expense.
