Lovely. You can always do some work ahead if you have shared resources (like database connections or programCalls etc), namely enable some logging just before such a resource is acquired and just after, so you can extract and plot these to see if there is a pattern.

If at all possible also enhance the pools of resources so they log their activity. You need all the information you can get :)
