The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I have taken all those off before and did not notice any problems.
The only thing...I think that starting with version 6, you cannot just run
the DLTLICPGM, instead you have to run an the uninstall script via Qshell.
You'll have to look in the WAS 6.0 installation manual for the path and
parameters for that script but if I remember right, it's fairly painless.
The other versions, I believe, can be removed via DLTLICPGM.

Subject: [WEB400] Removing older WAS program products
We have these WAS program products installed
5733AS3 V3R5M0 WebSphere Application Server, Standard Editio
5733W60 V6R0M0 WebSphere Application Server for OS/400 V6
5733W60 V6R0M0 WebSphere Application Server V6 Express
5733W61 V6R1M0 WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for i5/OS
5733W61 V6R1M0 WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Express
All of our java apps are running under WAS 6.1. Is it safe to remove the WAS
6 version and the even older WAS 3.5? Would there be any IBM products that
might be still using these?
Thanks
