And to add to my own post, make sure that you prompt ENDTCPSVR. If you just hit enter, you will have what's known as a "bad day". The default is to end all TCP/IP services which will, among other things, kick everyone off the system (unless you are still running twinax). I have not done this personally (honestly!) but I've had to clean up after it several times.

WRKACTJOB SBS(QHTTPSVR)
I never had the subsystem parm on there until I started working with clients
that had hundreds (thousands?) of active users and I just plain ol got sick
of paging down :-)

otherwise in a waiting state. I've seen this when we were using ANYNET
connections and there were problems with the database connections were
getting messed.
