Maurice,
Our file of Open Sales Orders is updated periodically during the day as
our System i users add/delete/modify sales orders. I would like for an
executive dashboard in a web browser to reflect this activity only the
file is updated, via server push instead of having the browser on a
timer to pull data every nnn milliseconds from the System i .
Granted, the client browser app can pull data from the System I, but
I was hopeful that server push is available, as The Oreilly book
http://oreilly.com/openbook/cgi/ch06_06.html
in chapter 6 says about CGI programming, The HTTP connection between the
client and the server is kept open indefinitely.

I do thank you and all others for your insightful comments.
EricL
