I google searched on "captcha java class" and got a number of hits - many are meant to use with XML or in jsp's but can be adapted to use with CGI and RPG, I'm sure. Once you have a class, you can use WDSC or RDi to get a prototype - there is a wizard that is fantastic.

One of the big adventages of the i is the ability to run almost
anything, I agree on not having to buy a special product, but Java is
already there.

If somebody will make a decision on a bussiness development based in the
ability of the "business language" to make graphics rather than in the
ability to "talk" with a grapic oriented languaje, it will be a very
stupid choice.

Now, if the chalenge is to use RPG, look at SVG. RPG can create nice
graphics with it, and I'm sure it will generate nice captchas.
