I thought you could run whatever Net.Data needed

was no need for Apache?

Net.Data is part of the HTTP server product, which is based on Apache. Make sure it's installed. GO LICPGM, Option 10:

5722DG1 *COMPATIBLE IBM HTTP Server for i5/OS

Copy program DB2WWW.PGM from library QHTTPSVR to QSYSCGI if it's not already there.

Add HTTP server configuration directives and restart your HTTP Server. I showed my configuration directives in a message last week.

Create a CL wrapper around DB2WWW.PGM. I showed the CL code in a message last week.

Write your first macro and save it in macro directory. For example:

%HTML(hello) {
<h1>Hello World From Net.Data</h1>
%}

Point your browser to the macro:

http://www.radile.com/db2www/hello.dtw/hello
