You're going to need something more detailed than a product link at Zend, but it's a place to start.

My understanding is that Zend Core for IBM i includes a toolkit that includes methods for calling RPG programs, or communicating via data queues.
It would be a shame to have to re-create your core business logic in PHP. It may mean installing PHP under IBM i. I'm not sure about that; the toolkit may run on the Windows platform. But I'd pull for an IBM i setup.
