Something interesting I found is that it never gets past the date validation
in FF on Linux, but it works just fine from FF on Windows.

This is a pretty cool feature! Doesn't get much simpler than the code you
posted! Now, how would the programmer by-pass the auto validation if they
wanted/needed to? That is why most frameworks lose points is because they
help you in many areas, but for exceptions it is incredibly difficult.

I've been working for the past couple weeks on a streamlined interface
for handling HTML form validation, mapping, & error handling, and hoped
to give a final status before the end of this month.

This new interface automatically validates and maps HTML form elements
to externally described data structures, and visa versa. I've provided
links to RPG and DDS sample source.

The wtnRecGet() procedure retrieves HTML form elements, validates them,
and maps them to sub-fields in a data structure. In return, the
wtnRecWrt() procedure writes data structure sub-field values to HTML
forms. Data validation, mapping, and output formatting is implemented
via DDS specifications.

This significantly streamlines the interface for handling HTML forms in
RPG applications. It's quite comparable to 5250.
