passing large amounts of info between EGL & iseries (RPG)

Hello all,



I have an RPG program that I call from EGL that extracts info and loads a
temp file. I then "get" the info that was extracted in my EGL program.



I was wondering if there is a way of passing large amounts of data to and
from the EGL/RPG programs. I am only extracting 20 records at a time and was
wonding if I could pass that data as a variable rather then writing to a
file.



Also, is doing it this way better or worst for overall performance?
