The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
The ODBC box and OLE/DB box will be checked, but not the MP.
Annoying, but true. I would add though, you can UNcheck the ODBC and
OLE/DB providers. They're not needed if you're using the MP provider.
Oh, and if you are using .NET Framework 2.0, you should read this...
And you better be using the 2.0 framework (or 3.0 I guess), but there's
no reason to be using 1.1 any longer.
The good thing about them is you do not need to worry
about iSeries Access deployment/licensing...
Deployment can be a pain, but it's only on the web server. Required
components and the MP driver are all that is needed. The MP provider
doesn't need a license. It's only the stuff Rochester has to "buy" from
other parts of IBM (like the emulator) that requires a license.
