You've expressed that thought on a number of occasions, deriding both RPG and
the native I5 database. To each their own. I'm in the opposite camp. I use
SQL in most applications, but I also really appreciate the i5 database and RPG
's native database access methods. I'd hate to be limited exclusively to SQL.
In the event that some of your data resides on other platforms, Scott Klement
has written a couple very interesting articles about RPG procedure wrappers
he's written over the i5 JDBC driver, which people have used to access data
from mySQL and other supported databases from within RPG applications.
