 I would try it on my personal laptop which is fairly new and has 1 Gb

of memory if I thought it wouldn't bog it down also.

Why would it bog you down?  You said yourself your PC didn't meet our
minimum stated requirement.  We also stated that the more memory the better
- so your 1Gb laptop should be fine.  I run it all the time with that config
and while it can be a little slow to load I leave it running for days so
that is hardly an issue.
