You do not need to create the savefile first.  if you use "NAMEFMT 1" the
put will create the target savefile.

ftp>user
ftp>pwd
ftp>cd tgtlib
ftp>lcd srclib
ftp>bin
ftp>na 1  --or-- namefmt 1
ftp>put savefile.savf
