Without installing the .net libraries, or using the java toolbox, or using
the apache webserver on the iseries to process a web service type of
function.

One option might be to create on your web page an event, that could trigger
an FTP call to the iseries to run a remote command.

ASP web page?  The CL does not need to be passed any parameters - all it
needs to do is get called.
