Pete,
I'm still trying to understand the WDHT product. Would I be correct in calling it a mergeof
Webfacing & HATS, and therefore one needs to learn each of those products?
I have heard the WDHT did not include 100% of the current HATS capabilities, but have
not yet seen a list of what features (if any) not in WDHT.

Larry,

We are using the HATS components of WDHT and have been pretty frustrated
by the lack of good, comprehensive documentation and training,
particularly on V6. However, I have been keeping track of links and
other sources of information for HATS : (search the IBM web site as best
you can) There is at least one Redbook

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/hatshelp/v50/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.hats.doc/doc/gsintro.htm
The Developerworks web site has a few online courses that require
registration:
https://www6.software.ibm.com/developerworks/education/websphere/wbt/sw725/htmls/SW725/frameset.html
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/webservers/hats/library.html (main web site)
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/hatshelp/v60/index.jsp

Most of what you will find applies to V4 and V5. Precious little on
V6. I think their marketing outran their services offerings. IBM
education says that there are instructor led courses but I haven't found
any that are scheduled. If you follow this link:
http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/education/enablement/curriculum/sw913.html#sched
you'll eventually get to a page that says "This course is not
scheduled" It hasn't been. For 6 months.....

Not sure if HATS was what you are after. But if that is so, you'll be
on your own. I'll help you if you post questions here, as far as I am
able. Also, I did corral the HATS guys at Common and they were VERY
helpful. Still corresponding by e-mail.

This is cool stuff and if you are a struts/.jsp programmer, it is VERY
cool stuff because you can extend and create your own transformation
controls and widgets. However, IBM has left us a bit high and dry with
no good resources to make this less painful.

We have purchased WDHT and after the half day demonstration I need to
create and modify our real world production applications. I am having
difficulties remembering all that was shown to us and really need some
basic training as how to modify screens, text, macros, etc. Any
recommendations for WEB based training or classes available in the
Orlando area?

Thanks in Advance
