Thanks Nathan, I found my problem, a dumb ole programmer error. I copied a system api from another program to do the call and I had 1 tick out of place and was not passing the parms correctly. Thanks again everyone. ________________________________ From: web400-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Nathan Andelin Sent: Tue 8/29/2006 12:36 PM To: Web Enabling the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: [WEB400] XMLHttpRequest The "a" stands for asynchronous. Does the request readyState or status ever change? Does your callback function ever get called? The "j" stands for javascript. Are there any errors showing up in the browser's JavaScript console? The "x" stands for XML. Well, the response could be XML, HTML, plain text, formatted text, or even JavaScript. Does the browser receive a response? I have been creating web pages with CGI since the last century and just recently got into AJAX. I know I'm a little late. Sometimes, I currently do a call from a CGI program to another CGI program and my new page will kick off. I try to do the same with AJAX and my call does not work. This leads me to believe that the i5 is running these two requests in different servers. -- This is the Web Enabling the AS400 / iSeries (WEB400) mailing list To post a message email: WEB400@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/web400 or email: WEB400-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/web400.
