I did talk with IBM and they walked me through the steps on the Admin
console.

Under Manage Http Server in left hand drop down there is a line
'Websphere Application Server'. This gives you a ' Start all WebSphere
application server(s) for the associated WAS instance when this HTTP
server is started' option with YES or NO. YES gives an additional
option to 'Stop all WebSphere application server(s) for associated WAS
instance when this HTTP server is stopped'.

This took care of the IBS server and allowed me to automate the start
and stop ours too.

Thanks,

I think you have to set this up in the subsystem description. The
WebSphere documentation explains how to do this. If you have a support
contract with IBM, you can also call them and have them walk you through
it.

Subject: [WEB400] Managing Websphere Apps & Backups

This is a very basic question.

I would like our WASE 5.1 application to restart like the IBM
pre-installed app IBS

when we do a GO SAVE 21. A STRTCPSVR *HTTP also starts the QASE5
subsystem and the

IBS application.

Where is the auto-start function defined?

Thank you,
