yes, the beauty of CSS. Nice. G. On 5/28/06, David Gibbs <david@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Although this isn't specific to iSeries, I just did a little playing around with CSS on the archives that I like a lot. Check out http://archive.midrange.com/linux101/200605/msg00002.html and look at how the quoted text shows up. The archiving software is putting a 'class' on the blockquote tag, and I created the necessary CSS to indent and put the quote background image in. Due to limitations of the archiving software, existing messages cannot easily be reformatted ... so only new messages in the archive will have the new quoting format. Since new messages in the archive will have the new class on the blockquote element, older messages won't be effected by the change. I suppose I could write a program or sed script to reformat existing messages ... but that's a task for another day. david -- This is the Web Enabling the AS400 / iSeries (WEB400) mailing list To post a message email: WEB400@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/web400 or email: WEB400-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/web400.
