I've always seen it as well.  It sort of irks me that these
problems exist.  I now have a couple customers with the SSI
issues I mentioned before.  

It blows my mind how something that works for 4-5 releases
gets broken (this apparently by a PTF on V5R2), and a
problem that was fixed by a PTF.  If SSI quits working on
my machine, I know it would destroy my website.  

I'd think that there would be more attention paid to
something as important as the web server.
