Thanks for clarifying that Pete - that wasn't the impression I was given.  I
didn't realize that the way Apache had been ported would permit it to bridge
into PASE like that.

It still leaves you with nothing but ODBC/Stored procedures for DB access
though which is a pity.

It may be that the problem with a native port is that the C/C++ in which the
base code is written takes too many liberties with pointers.  That is often
an issue.  IBM had a strong motivation to deal with any such problems with
Apache but apparently don't think it worth it for PHP.  I was hoping they
would view it as a replacement for Net.Data and do a complete job of it.
Since only iSeries not supports Net.Data I'd have thought they'd be looking
to dump it.
