CGI jobs are single threaded (the Original server had an option for multithreaded CGI jobs but I don't think that carried over to the Apache based server). On the other hand, Java is multithreaded so each thread will get the same job information. I may not have a good understanding of the iSeries Web Server, but I assume that the jobs in the server are _not_ single threaded. I would assume that each job can be servicing multiple clients at the same time. If so, even a distinct job name won't get you what you need since you can have multiple request in a single job. You need something along the session cookie concept I would think. -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x3051 WaldenL@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur.
