Is the cgiSetVar() using a numeric value in parameter two?

cgiSetVar('MO' : myVar)
Is "MYVAR" a numeric field? I can not be.

Use %char() to convert it.

cgiSetVar('MO' : %char(myVar))

The error I am getting on the compile listing is:

*RNF7536 30    418 000800  The type of parameter 2 specified for the call 
does not  match the prototype.                                     

Any ideas?
