Mitch, Thank you for your vote of support. I look forward to Dave's battle-hardened reiteration on version 1.0 which I tried (and failed) to keep short. I thought afterwards there could be a useful section in there on setting up an appropriate user profile for basic login, USRCLS(*USER) INLMNU(*SIGNOFF) LMTCPB(*YES), etc., and associating it with a JOBD to control aspects of the runtime & backend environments, granting it authority to libs and the IFS. Most of that might fit better into a second checklist devoted to the care & feeding of CGI though.
