Is the 400 set up properly to respond to outside requests?

Option 2 work with routes, you should have a *DFTROUTE specified that is the IP address of your SMC router.

Try pinging www.google.com  (if you've got DNS setup using option 12 on GO TCPCFG)

or ping google by IP 66.102.7.104
